Leaves have an aromatic, sweet licorice mint flavor. They are used fresh or dried in salads, teas or as a garnish. It was used by Native Americans to treat colds, coughs, fever, wounds and diarrhea. It has a blue flower in the summer that attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Plant grows between 24-36" tall in sun to part shade. Plant hardiness zone 5 - 9.
