Leaves have a mild spice aroma and flavor with purple flowers. Leaves are used in teas, culinary, and medicinally.  It grows 12-18" tall in full sun in well drained soil.  Basil doesn't require a lot of water.  Pinch flowers for fuller plants.  Annual.
