Plant has small flat, shiny gray-green leaves with lilac-purple flowers in summer.  Leaves are used fresh or dried in soups, stuffings, sauces, casseroles, meats, fish and other cooking recipes.  It grows 8-10" tall by 12-15" wide in full sun to part shade in well drained soil.  Avoid over watering.  Drought tolerant once established . Perennial zone 4-9.
